Summersville Lake Camping

Of all of the campgrounds in West Virginia Summersville Lake camping is the number one destination by far. Each year thousands converge to this crystal clear water impoundment to enjoy a summer of fun.Camping on the lake is but one of the many activities. Boating,swimming at the beach and picnics at the road side park beside the damn.During the summer months especially on the weekends all of the camping areas are booked solid. If you are planning a weekend stay or a week for a family vacation be sure to book in advance.

If you are wanting to go you have two options available to you.

107 camp sites for camper and RV’s.Each site has a picnic table and fire pit.  Electric hookups and water available. 2 restrooms with showers and a washer and dryer. Sites on the shore line .Boat ramps, Beach area,and tent only sites. Overnight and weekend stays can be made at the front gate.
Extended stays need reservation’s in advance.

The campsites at Mountain Lake Campground :
With fours camping areas and 250 campsites Lakefront Sites for both camper and tents.Mountain Lake Campgrounds has a lot to offer.Swimming pool,private beach,Country store,cabin rentals.They can even rent you a camper if you don’t have one.Even camper storage.They are located close to the marina.

30 Pull-Through sites, and plenty of room for slide outs .Shaded & Open Sites . Electric hookups.Rustic tent sites,Dump Station available

Summerville Lake Retreat:

A campground near Summersville Lake.Excellent facilities,just not on the lake. It is located on the road leading to the Dam at the top of the first hill.Cant miss it on the left.
